How does it work ?
Our aim is to find the most suitable dogs for you to look after.
To do this, we will meet you in your home when we enrol you and explain how we work and find out a little more about you.
We will take up references and as well as being sure that being one of our carers is right for you, we will do some checks on your home. We need to check that you have a secure garden too.
Pets and People provide you with a Carers Guide with instructions and useful tips to help you enjoy your dogs., as well as any other support you require., including our back up service, in case of emergency.
We also provide you with our third party liability insurance.
As soon as one of our enrolled dogs, who meets your requirements, needs a holiday home then we will contact you to arrange for the owner to come and meet you with their dog.
Following this meeting, if you and the Owner are happy, then the booking can be confirmed and we will supply you with full details of the dogs diet, exercise and other requirements.
An Ideal Carer
- Has previously owned a dog or had experience of dog care
- Is a genuine dog lover
- Is willing to welcome someone else's dog into your home as part of your family
- Is able to provide daily walks and exercise
- Is going to be at home for most of the day
- Will agree to feed a dog strictly on the diet and the food provided by the owner
